New Zealand’s Golden Visa program is more accessible, with new rules for the Investor Plus Visa coming into effect on 1st April 2025.
With a lower minimum investment threshold, expanded investment options, and no English language test requirement, the updated Investor Plus Visa is business and people friendly.

Growth Investment
- Minimum investment NZ $5m for three years
- Direct investments in New Zealand businesses or targeted managed funds
- Must reside in New Zealand for three weeks during the three years
Balanced Investment
- Minimum investment NZ$10m for five years
- Bonds, listed equities, same property, existing commercial/industrial developments, philanthropy and any Growth Investment
- Must reside in New Zealand for 105 days during the five years although options to reduce this are available
