New Zealand’s Golden Visa program is more accessible, with new rules for the Investor Plus Visa coming into effect on 1st April 2025.
With a lower minimum investment threshold, expanded investment options, and no English language test requirement, the updated Investor Plus Visa is business and people friendly.
Highlights
❤️ Easier Investor Plus Visa rules from 1st April 2025
❤️ Minimum investment amount NZ $5million (under 3million Euro or USA dollars)
❤️ Increased range of acceptable investment options
❤️ Funds must be lawfully obtained
❤️ Transferred to New Zealand through the banking system
❤️ No English language test required
❤️ With usual health and character requirements
❤️ INZ determines which investment are acceptable
❤️ Growth and Balanced investment categories options available
Growth Investment
- Minimum investment NZ $5m for three years
- Direct investments in New Zealand businesses or targeted managed funds
- Must reside in New Zealand for three weeks during the three years
Balanced Investment
- Minimum investment NZ$10m for five years
- Bonds, listed equities, same property, existing commercial/industrial developments, philanthropy and any Growth Investment
- Must reside in New Zealand for 105 days during the five years although options to reduce this are available
